Shaligram Stone

The Shaligram Shila (Shaligram Patthar) is a sacred black fossil stone found in the Gandaki River of Nepal. It is worshiped as a divine representation of Lord Vishnu and is considered one of the most powerful spiritual symbols in Hinduism. Daily Puja Vidhi (Ritual)

1️. Place the Shaligram on a clean altar (preferably on a yellow or red cloth).
2️. Wash with Gangajal, Panchamrit (milk, honey, curd, ghee, sugar), and clean water.
3️. Apply sandalwood paste (Chandan) and Tulsi leaves.
4️. Offer fresh flowers and incense sticks (Agarbatti).
5️. Chant Vishnu Mantras:
🕉 “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya” (108 times)
🕉 “Om Vishnave Namah”
6️. Offer Naivedya (fruits, sweets) and light a ghee lamp (diya).
7️. Perform Aarti and pray for blessings.

Important Rules for Worshiping Shaligram

Always keep the Shaligram clean and pure.
Use Tulsi leaves while worshiping (Lord Vishnu loves Tulsi).
Do not touch with unclean hands.
Never place a Shaligram on the floor.
Married couples should worship it together for harmony.
